The constitutional review: what should be done to reform and improve
Parliament?
You and your guests are invited to hear the opinions of Dr Jonathan Boston
and Amy Adams MP on what the constitutional review could mean for
Parliament.
The seminar will consider what should be done to reform and improve
Parliament. Topics will include a number of possible
electoral-constitutional reforms, including the term of parliament, whether
it should be fixed or not (or semi-fixed as in Sweden), whether New Zealand
needs a constructive vote of no-confidence and whether a provision to enable
non-MPs to be appointed as Ministers is needed.
Questions and discussion are encouraged.
